Mac’s Tournament Announces Shaw Communications as the
Tournament Broadcast Partner
Calgary, Alberta, (December 11th, 2009) – The Mac’s Tournament Committee is pleased to announce Shaw Communications as the new Broadcast Partner of the Mac’s Midget Hockey Tournament.
Under terms of the partnership, Shaw Communications will be the exclusive broadcaster of both the Male Division and Female Division Championship Games on Shaw and Shaw Direct. Coverage of the finals will take place on New Year’s Day – the Female Final will be aired at 10 a.m. MST and the Male Final at 2 p.m. MST. Viewers throughout Western Canada and Northern Ontario can tune in to their local Shaw TV channel to catch the games, or via Channel 299 on Shaw Direct.
Shaw brings a great knowledge of producing quality hockey broadcasts to the Mac’s Tournament, having provided live coverage of the Western Hockey League the past five seasons. Through Shaw and Shaw Direct, more viewers throughout North America will now get the opportunity to see the Mac’s Finals live.

Repeats of the games will be available on January 2nd and 3rd, 2010 – and featured in the Free Zone on Shaw Video on Demand throughout January.
